Updated: Jul 21

Some of our favorite Summer Activities and places to visit.

Grand Junction is a hot location to be for summer time activities. From Festivals , Farmers Markets to Concerts and outdoor activities. Grand Junction Summers are full of fun various ways to cool off during those hot summer days. Here are a few of our favorite things to do during the summer months.

Barrelosphy : Barre studio

I love to start my morning with a good workout and Barrelosophy downtown Gj delivers. Barre is a combination of yoga, ballet and pilates moves, located in a boutique studio. Isolation is key to this work out , you feel the burn and accomplished after your work out. They provide a great class and the environment is welcoming and comfortable. Offering different times during the day to get a class in and they also have a quick cardi barre class if a 30 min workout is more your speed.

One of the best parts is its located centrally downtown and you can just walk downtown to kiln coffee bar after class to get a little pick me up.

Stay updated on their social media for different events they offer as well every fall/winter they do a Barre Flowers , Crepes and Tiny Tattoos event. A recent one was Badass Barre Event were they had barre class at a local Ordinary Fellow Winery ,your ticket included a class wine tasting paired with food from the food truck on site Le Snack. A fun hat to decorate with ribbon, feathers & leather. A iced latte from Foci Coffee and a mini facial massage or brow tint from Naked Asthetics. With some fun add ons from feathers in your hair , Pinque boutique to shop and Henna tattoos. All of these amazing pictures below were taken by Above Alpine Photography.

Kiln Coffee Bar

Kiln Coffee Bar is known not only for their great coffee but their friendly and community oriented environment : So don't miss out on grabbing a nice refreshing coffee or tea in their downtown location. They roast their coffee locally and have lots of great options to help with your brewing needs. If your lucky you might catch Lulu Crepe flinging some goods Fri - Sat 9am-1pm .

If Lulu isn't there to satisfy your crepe needs they also carry baked goods from Sweet Kiwi Bakery a local bakery located in Orchard Mesa Area of town. They provide options of scones, muffins, cookies and more even some gluten free options as well.

Farmers Markets

We have various Farmers markets throughout the week from Palisade to Fruita.

Grand Junctions downtown has Market on Main is on Thursday Nights starting at 5:30pm

Fruita has their farmers market every Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:00pm

Palisade Sunday Market is from 9:30am - 1:30pm

Each market has so many great vendors to see and buy from some of our favorites are:

Roth's Pretzels : he has such a great variety of flavors from savory to spicy to satisfy your tastebuds. Trust us pretzels won't be the same after you have tried these.

Lori Ruiz Water Color: has so many great unique pieces of art with fun colors and animals her eye for colors together are so fresh.

Lily Cain Studio: has amazing colorful pieces of art with various textiles, and botanical pieces to adore.

Breweries & Food Trucks

Colorado Monumental Beer Works a local brewery with great selection beers on tap a good selection of them brewed with the White Labs Clarity Ferm to be gluten reduced also. They have a great easy going environment with some indoor and lots of outdoor seating. A great dog friendly environment to bring your pup and have a beer and conversation with friends. If you start to get hungry just grab a bite from one of the various food trucks they have rotating through their parking lot or bring in some food from a near by restaurant.

Bring out your competitive side with some fun board and card games in stock so you can enjoy time with friends and family. Live music rotates through as well this is just one of the many breweries to get to sit enjoy beer, food and music.

Several breweries in town have food trucks rotating through their spots to help feed their patrons, Ramblebine Brewing Company , Foam & Folly Brewery, are just a few of the options available.

Speaking of food trucks lets talk about some of the great options they have flowing through their parking lot.
